Wendy's StoryBook Cottage

I thought I would share pictures of a custom order I recently shipped out to a very sweet lady that collects my faeries....her name is Wendy. she asked if I could put a baby deer or bunnie on the cottage....lucky me, I found a fawn on ebay...she looks so cute snuggled up against the side of the cottage on a bed of moss...I added some glitter dots on this wee fawn...don't the babies usually have white dots on them? The door is vintage pink velvet....and the doorknob is an old button.
This side shows a wee girl peeking out the window.....The roof is a moss green velvet with old metal trimming for the eves...

ahhhh...she has a message for us.......

Wendy requested the year of her birth be added to the cottage...I hand dyed the lace on the peek of the roof line......

I think Wendy's Cottage will look so sweet sitting among her faeries!

  8. Coleen~
That is a precious little house! Holly was very inspired by your booth. She has taken her childhood doll house (a solid wood 4 foot tall bookcase with a slanted roof) her Dad and I built her for her 3rd birthday and is re-creating it into a giant faerie house to store her art supplies in. She put cedar shakes on the roof and is faux painting the sides to look like stone walls. I will let you know when I post about it!

  14. Colleen, the house is adorable. What patience you have. Love the look you have developed, I always look for something individual.
To develope one's look is to know you have made it. Took me years and years for people to say , yes that is a Lilla!
